At Stride Medical Center, we started with a vision to provide affordable and need-tailored financial and health solutions to our community in Kasese, Uganda.  

Stride Medical Center Implements Stride Community Health Insurance

Stride Community Health Insurance (SCHI):
A subsidized, prepaid health scheme for SACCO members and Kasese residents.

Health Insurance Benefits:

  • Annual Premium: 20K UGX (members), 40K UGX (non-members).

  • Clinic Care: 66.67% coverage (member pays 33.33%).

  • Referrals: 50% coverage (up to 400K UGX) for SACCO members.

  • Chronic Conditions: Excluded but discounted medicines available.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Eligibility: Open to SACCO members, their dependents, partner organizations, and Kasese residents.

  • No Coverage for Pre-existing Conditions: Focus on preventive & acute care.

  • Transparent System: Strict verification ensures sustainability.

Current Services:  Outpatient services, Laboratory, In patient care, Immunization, Chronic illness management etc

Bigger Agenda:  Stride Medical Center to Stride Hospital 

To fund the Stride Hospital Complex (5B UGX project).

  • 3B UGX pledged by donors (Dr. Ernst Buhler & friends) for equipment/ambulance.

  • 2B UGX needed from members for construction
